The natural beauty of the magic Murray River provides the ideal setting to escape with your friends or family for some fun, quality time and an adventure. Your unique houseboating experience begins when you arrive at the beautiful Moama on Murray resort. Our friendly staff will assist you with everything you need to begin your houseboating adventure.
As you leave the bank of the river at Moama on Murray Resort you are now able to explore the majestic redgum lined banks, secluded sandbars and diverse wildlife of one of Australia’s most important and iconic rivers. The natural beauty of the river will clear your mind and help you to unwind and relax. When you are ready to try something a bit different, recreation and extensive local attractions are waiting for you.
After a day of adventure on the Murray River, pull up at our private beach and explore all that our resort has to offer. Then return to your home on the water to appreciate the changing mood of the river as evening sets in. Please refer to “Attractions and Things to Do” for a more comprehensive list of activities.

- Food and drinks for the duration of your stay. There are several supermarkets in Echuca and Moama to purchase your supplies.

Attractions and Things To Do
There are many things to do on the river on your houseboating holiday including fishing, crayfishing (winter), canoeing, swimming, skiing and wakeboarding. You can park your boat at many places on the river that are within close walking distance to local attractions including wonderful wineries, restaurants, cafes and shopping. There is a courtesy bus pick up to and from Rich River Golf Club, Moama Sports Club, Moama Bowling Club and the RSL club.
The added bonus of staying on a Moama on Murray Houseboat is that you can park your boat at our private beach and explore the beautiful 15 acre Moama on Murray Resort landscape. You can utilise the resort facilities including 2 resort style pools, lawn tennis courts, sporting grounds, playgrounds, animal farm, mini golf, boat ramp, canoe hire, reception and shop with liquor licence. “Squiggles” is also accessible at the resort guest price which gives access to an indoor play centre, outdoor waterpark, jumping pillow, pedal car track, playground and large sandpit.
There are functions facilities within the resort which are on the edge of the river. Imagine arriving to your function on a houseboat and being able to take a couple of friends out for a cruise on the river afterwards.

FAQ's
Is there somewhere to park my car?
Yes we have ample free parking for vehicles near the reception of moama on murray resort. It is best to drive close to the boat and unload your bags then park your car in the car park near reception.
Can anyone drive the houseboat?
Anyone who is aged 18 years or older with a current drivers licence can drive the houseboat after a short induction from one of our staff.
What happens if we run out of fuel?
The boat is fitted with a 300 litre diesel tank, a 300 litre petrol tank and 90kg of gas tanks. All are filled on your arrival. We have set up the boat with solar panels to minimise the amount that the generator will need to be run, thus lowering your fuel use and costs. There should be ample fuel available for your trip, however, in the event that you are running low on fuel, you can return to Moama on Murray Resort and organise to be refilled.
