Echuca Moama Motels
Following are some commonly asked questions that we have answered for you. We hope this helps when booking your holiday accommodation at Moama on Murray Resort.
Can you please tell me my which villa I will be in?
Unfortunately villa numbers are not released to guests until arrival. We do our very best to meet all our guests needs but can't guarantee that all requests can be met especially when it comes to villa allocations. Please be aware that not all the same villa types are located in the same area which can make it difficult when trying to keep groups together.
Why do you need my credit card details upon check in when I have paid a deposit?
A credit card is taken upon check in as security. We do not charge the card unless there are damages or outstanding balances. If you do not have a credit card we will require a photocopy of your driver’s license.
Are your pools heated?
Our pools at the resort are not heated. The closest indoor heated pool can be located in Echuca.
Are pet’s permitted at the resort?
No, we are not a pet friendly resort.
Is linen provided?
Yes, all linen is provided in each villa. However we do recommend that you do bring along your own pool towels.
Are there gates on the villas?
No, not all villas have gates located on them.
Is there a boat ramp at the resort?
Yes, the boat ramp is located just outside of the resort. It is free to use for all guests. Please see reception to collect a parking permit.
Did the resort suffer any flood damage?
Although the water did reach our banks, the resort itself remained undamaged with any of the flooding which hit surrounding areas.
Can we locate the resort in our GPS?
You will not be able to locate the resort on your GPS. You will need to follow your instructions as directed on our website. Alternatively check out google maps.
How much is Squiggles for guest?
Guests staying at the resort do recieve a discount on entry to Squiggles Playhouse. An all day pass is only $5 per child per day. Children MUST be supervised at all times by an adult. Includes access to Jurassic Water Park and the jumping pillow.
Do adults pay for Squiggles?
No, adults are not required to pay for Squiggles.
Is there a café at Squiggles?
No, there is not café located at Squiggles. There is a coffee machine located inside and a kiosk located in the resort reception area. Guests are welcome to bring their own lunch and snacks into the playhouse.
Is there a restaurant at the resort?
No, a restaurant is not located on site. A Courtesy Bus can be arranged for guests wanting to travel to any of the local clubs in town for a meal.
Can you put a roll away bed or mattress in the villa?
No, most of our villas are built to accommodate a maximum of 6 guests. There are a selected few that will accommodate up to 8. Due to fire regulations no more guests are permitted in the villa than there is accommodation for.
Can we sleep on the couch in the villa?
No, the couches are not fold out beds and are not to be used by guests as bedding.
Are porta cots and high chairs available?
Yes, these items are available at a cost of $20 per item for the stay. Just make sure to mention this to reservations when booking. For cot hire linen is not supplied, so please arrange to bring your own cot linen.
Are fires permitted on the grounds?
No open fires are permitted on the resort grounds.
Can we set up a tent or a caravan?
No, the resort does not have camping facilities available.
Does the villa have a kitchen?
Yes, all the villas are fully self contained which includes oven, cook top, microwave, fridge and washing machine.
Do you have clothes dryers?
No dryers are not located in the villas. We do have clothes lines situated throughout the resort for all guests to use. Pegs are located in your villa. Dryers can be located at the Moama Laundromat opposite the Border Inn Hotel.
Do you have a clothes horse?
Most villas will have a clothes horse located in them however on some occasions they will not. If you do require a clothes horse you will need to leave a $20 refundable deposit with reception.
Do you have transport to your resort?
The V Line trains and coach service do run from Melbourne direct to Echuca Moama daily however the local bus service does not come to the resort. The resort is NOT within walking distance from the Echuca train station. Local taxis are available on 131 008 if you need to arrange a pick up or drop off.
Can we see the river from the villa?
Yes, you can see the river from some of the premium villas situated along the riverfront of the resort. The view of river is not full water views as this only occurs when the river is reaching flood high levels.
Is there internet available?
Yes, we do have WIFI connections available for purchase from reception to use on your lap tops and phones. Computers are not available onsite for use. The closest internet café can be located at the ABC Store High Street Echuca, or the local library also located in High Street.
Does the resort have facilities for weddings and conferences?
Yes we do have facilities available for weddings, conferences and parties. All function enquires can be emailed to functions@moamaonmurray.com.au a unique location for any type of conference big or small.
Is there space for my boat to be parked?
Yes all our 2 and 3 bedroom villas have 2 car parking spaces to accommodate 2 vehicles and/or a boat if needed. Our 1 bedroom villas however only have a single car parking space available. There is a visitors car park located near the reception office if needed.
Do you have a baby sitting service?
No, we do not have an onsite babysitting service. Please feel free to ask reception as we can recommend babysitting services. Carley Beer can also be contacted on 0419189843 in regards to any child minding and babysitting needs throughout your stay.
Do you have pay TV?
No, the resort does not have pay TV. We do have DVDs available for hire at reception. The local cinema can be located in High Street.
Do you have a DVD player?
All 2 and 3 bedroom villas contain DVDs players. The 1 bedroom villas however do not contain DVD players. You are welcome to bring your own or plug your laptop in to the LCD screens.
Is there heating/cooling in the villas?
Yes, all villas are equipped with reverse cycle heating and cooling. Ceiling fans are also located throughout the villas.
How far are you from Melbourne?
Echuca/Moama is located roughly a 2.5hr drive from the city depending on traffic conditions.
Can we bring the kids bikes and scooters?
Yes, families are invited to bring their children’s bikes and scooters to the resort. Remembering that helmets need to be worn at all times and children need to be supervised.
Is there snakes?
As we are located in bush land and on the river there is the chance of snakes and wildlife being spotted throughout the resort. We advise guests to use their common sense when walking through the bush.
Are there phones in the villas?
No the villas do not contain phones and we do not have a phone on site for guests use.
Do you offer a seniors discount?
No, the resort does not offer a seniors discount but we do advertise regular online specials on our website www.moamaonmurray.com.au Last minute specials are released every week.
Can we walk into Echuca?
You could if you really wanted to, but we do recommend you drive, grab a taxi or courtesy bus. It is definatley not a short walk for families into Echuca.
Do you have a Safeway/Coles in town?
Yes, Safeway/Woolworths is located on Pericoota Rd Moama and also another located in Echuca. Coles is also located in Echuca on High Street, along with Aldi.
Where is the Hospital?
The Echuca Hospital is located at 17 Francis Street Echuca. In an emergency always call ahead on 54855000. If in need of a doctor contact Nish Street Medical practice on 54806001, or Rich River Health Group Ogilvie Ave Echuca 54806700.
Can we use the BBQ on our balcony?
No, the BBQ situated on balconies are for the use of the villa owner only. There are several BBQ facilities located throughout the resort for guests use.
